2019

  • Recognized by Great Place To Work as one of the best companies to work for in Chile, Argentina and Colombia. In case of Chile, we were ranked 10 of the best companies to work for in the category of organizations with more than a thousand employees.
  • Included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index MILA (Latin American Integrated Market Index) and, for the fifth consecutive year, in the the Dow Jones Sustainability Index Chile (DJSI Chile).
  • Central Ventanas was highlighted in the safety category due to its management plans applied during 2018, which were intended to reduce the number of accidents, obtaining excellent results with zero accidents during 2018.
  • Guacolda Energía S.A. was recognized with safety award “Tucapel González García”, in category of up to 200 employees.
  • Alto Maipo awarded by IJGlobal, which recognizes the best transactions entered into in last year in infrastructure and energy industries. This time, the award was granted in the category of Latin American Refinancing Agreement for 2018.
  • Mutual de Seguridad recognized Alto Maipo for 5 years with no LTI for direct staff in the project

  • In its 2018 edition, the Energy Globe Foundation of Austria recognized Alto Maipo Project for its contribution in terms of construction design and for the employability policy it has implemented since the beginning of its construction.
  • Highlighted in the 21st place of the Great Place To Work ranking.

    AES Colombia was recognized by the Great Place To Work® Institute as one of the 20 best companies to work for in Colombia in the category of companies with less than 500 employees in 2015, 2016 and 2017. 

2017

  • Excellence Prize – ARL SURA World Class Company Category (4th time: 2017)
    Occupational Risk Administrator ARL SURA awarded AES Colombia the SURA Excellence award in the “World Class Company” category for the fourth time in 2017. This is the highest award given to a company in Colombia by ARL SURA.

This distinction recognizes affiliated companies for commitment to risk management, management of industrial safety and health, the seriousness and objectivity of the management process and indicators of incidentally, and sustainability of its safety culture.

2014

  • Gold Seal – Fundación Siembra Colombia (2014)
    The Siembra Colombia Foundation awarded AES Colombia the Gold Seal in the “Environmental Management” category and placed the team in seventh place in the “Environmental Management Index” launched in 2014.

    The Siembra Colombia Foundation also awarded AES Colombia the Gold Seal in the “Biodiversity Management” category, reaching third place in the “Biodiversity Management Index” launched in 2014.

2013

  • Emerald Cross: Excellence Category – Colombian Safety Council (4th time: 2013)
    The Colombian Safety Council awarded AES Colombia the Emerald Cross in the “Excellence” category for the fourth consecutive time in 2013. This recognition is given to companies that performing outstanding work in industrial safety and occupational health and environment programs.

2012

  • AES Golden Hard Hat (2012)
    AES Colombia received the Golden Hard Hat, the most significant sustainability and safety culture recognition awarded by The AES Corporation, in 2012. The Golden Hard Hat recognizes AES Colombia for its efforts maintaining a process of continuous improvement, empowerment and responsible maturity and maintaining and reinforcing safety culture.
